CRC/TR 412 (TRR 412) is a DFG-funded Transregio Collaborative Research Center seeking to address the pressing need for understanding the pathogenic mechanisms in Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). To this end, CRC/TR 412 brings together the expertise of clinicians and basic researchers from Charité – Universitaetsmedizin Berlin, TU Dresden, the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics at Dresden, and the M3 Research Institute at Tübingen.
From 1 October 2025, CRC/TR 412 offers 4 positions for PhD students at Charité – Universitaetsmedizin Berlin to exceptional and highly motivated candidates pursuing a career in translational liver research. TRR 412 has its own integrated research training group with a structured graduate training program.

Information regarding the position
Pay grade E13 TVöD VKA-K. Classification is based on qualifications, with the respective level of experience calculated on the basis of years of professional experience. The annual salary (gross) is stated for a full-time position without annual bonus payments. The collective agreement can be found here
The working hours are part-time with 25.03 hours
The position is limited until 30.06.2029, as it is tied to the project duration
We offer 30 days of holiday as standard
