Die Stelle im Überblick
We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated and meticulous PhD candidate with a passion for virological research and a solid understanding of bioanalytical and/or bioinformatic methods.
The candidate will develop and employ experimental mass spectrometry approaches and globally map protein-protein contact sites of both animal- and human-adapted Influenza A and Coronaviruses in various infected cell systems.
Structural modeling will be used to identify binding prerequisites for relevant interactions, which will then be validated and functionally characterized through genetic engineering.
Further responsibilities include: virological work in safetly level S2/S3 laboratories, proteomics sample preparation and data analysis, establishment of binding assays and coordination of research activities with internal and berlin-wide collaboration partners.
The project is embedded in an existing collaboration with the Proteomics Facility at the Leibniz-Institut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) in Berlin.
