Working at Charité
We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in translational cancer research, cancer genomics and precision medicine to join the research program of Prof. Johannes Waldschmidt (Clinical and Translational Myeloma Research).
Our research investigates the molecular, genomic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying cancer evolution and therapeutic resistance, with a particular focus on multiple myeloma. By integrating next-generation sequencing, liquid biopsy and single-cell technologies with functional disease models, we study tumor evolution under therapeutic pressure. A major focus is on mechanisms of resistance to T-cell-based immunotherapies, including CAR T cells and bi- and trispecific antibodies.
Our work has been published in leading journals including Blood, Nature Medicine, Blood Cancer Discovery, Lancet Oncology, Leukemia, and Clinical Cancer Research. The group is supported by competitive funding from the BMBF, DFG, José Carreras Leukemia Foundation and others, and is embedded in a strong network of national and international collaborations.
Based in Berlin, one of Europe’s most dynamic and international biomedical research hubs, we provide access to state-of-the-art technologies and research infrastructure across Charité and the Max Delbrück Center/BIMSB. We offer an ambitious, international and collaborative scientific environment that encourages independent research ideas and supports postdoctoral researchers in developing their own scientific profile and advancing toward the next stage of their careers.
