Working at Charité

We are seeking support for our multidisciplinary team, which, against the backdrop of international developments, is exploring innovative aspects of educational research in the healthcare professions. A particular focus will be on issues relating to the design, implementation and evaluation of (inter)professional continuing professional development programmes on selected key topics (in particular emergency and disaster preparedness, school health care, and clinical competence development).

Overview of the position

  • Participation in ongoing projects related to educational work and research in the health professions
  • Participation in the development of new project ideas and the acquisition of third-party funding
  • Teaching in the degree programmes offered at the institute (primarily in the Master's program in Health Professions Education - the program is offered in German)
  • Supervision of students, supervising theses and participating in quality assurance measures in teaching
  • Preparing research reports and publishing and communicating research results 
  • Collaborating in various teaching and project teams as well as committees within and outside the institute
  • §110 (4), sentence 3 BerlHG provides for scientific staff to be allocated appropriate time within their working hours for their own further scientific qualification.

What we are looking for

  • A successful degree in nursing science, health sciences with a clear educational focus (minimum: Diplom, Master’s or Magister) and/or educational sciences with a focus on the healthcare professions
  • Ideally, professional registration and relevant professional experience in nursing or another healthcare profession
  • Experience with empirical research and with the substantive and methodological aspects of academic work
  • Experience in academic writing and publishing (German/English)
  • Enjoyment of working with students and experience in university teaching 
  • Ability and willingness to quickly familiarise oneself with various academic topics and fields of work 
  • Strong interest in international networking (including confident command of the English language)
  • German language skills at least at C1 level
