We are an enthusiastic, interdisciplinary and collaborative team within the Department of Neurology with Experimental Neurology, located at Campus Mitte of the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, Germany. Our group aims to obtain a better understanding of the biology and cellular heterogeneity of brain tumors, in particular what drives their evolution and how this is influenced by factors of ageing. To achieve this, we utilize bulk and single-cell genomics technologies together with functional studies in patient-derived tumor cells. Our group (www.liu-lab.org) is funded by the Max-Eder program of the Deutsche Krebshilfe, the DFG, and the Hertie Network of Excellence in Clinical Neuroscience.
