Im Rahmen des vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung geförderten Projekts xG-RIC („Next Generation Communication Networks Research and Innovation Cluster“) arbeiten wir gemeinsam mit dem Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI) an der Entwicklung innovativer 6G-Anwendungen für den medizinischen Bereich. Ein zentrales Forschungsziel ist die Entwicklung von dynamischen Digitalen Zwillingen für komplexe klinische Szenarien – etwa beim Schock, akuten Lungenversagen (ARDS) oder Post-Intensive-Care-Syndrom (PICS). Diese Digitalen Zwillinge sollen interoperable Echtzeitdaten und KI-gestützte Analytik nutzen, um physiologische und pathologische Zustände präzise zu modellieren, zu simulieren und zukünftige Entwicklungen vorherzusagen. Weiteres Forschungsziel ist die Integration kabel-loser IoT-Systeme mit gegenwärtigen Monitoringsystemen auf der Intensivstation, um die mit konventioneller Überwachung einhergehenden Einschränkungen der Immobilität zu reduzieren, zirkadiane Störungen zu behandeln und hämodynamische Risiken präziser zu erfassen. Schließlich soll eine mobile, datengestützte Nachsorge nach intensivstationärer Therapie weiterentwickelt werden, um frühzeitig postintensivmedizinische Genesungsstörungen zu erkennen und zu behandeln. Mit diesen drei Forschungszielen können klinische Prozesse und Behandlungsstrategien datenbasiert verbessert werden. Die technologischen Grundlagen – ultraniedrige Latenz, hohe Konnektivität und verteilte Intelligenz – werden im Projekt xG-RIC exploriert und deren Nutzung in der Medizin in Form oben genannter Anwendungsfälle erforscht.

Information regarding the position
- Paygrade XXX according to TVöD VKA-K. Your job grade depends on your job qualification whereas the experience level depends on the number of working years. The yearly gross salary is hereby provided based on a full time position excluding yearly bonus and additional pay. You may find further information here
