The Ralser Laboratory at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is internationally recognized for its cutting-edge research in cellular metabolism and systems biology. As part of our ambition to understand the human microbiome,we are offering a PhD position for a talented and motivated doctoral researcher to investigate metabolic interactions in complex microbial communities. This project focuses on dominating bacterial species in the microbiome, with a particular emphasis on understanding how spatial organization influences microbial cooperation, competition, and resistance. The successful candidate will apply advanced methodologies in microbiology, proteomics, and spatial omics to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying these interactions.
