The Research Group “Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy of gastrointestinal-Tumors” located at the Campus Virchow-Klinikum in the Department of Hepatology and Gastroenterology investigates the local and systemic immune response in cancer patients with a focus on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and associated chronic liver diseases as well as neuroendocrine neoplasms with the aim of developing novel immunotherapy options. We are seeking a student employee to support our team (40 h/month).
Job overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated student employee to join the team and support ongoing research projects:
• Collection and processing of patient samples
• Isolation of cells and tissues from both human and
murine samples
• Sample analysis via spectral flow cytometry, multiplex
immunostaining, cell culture assays
• data analysis and documentation
• general lab administration
What we are looking for
- Regularly enrolled student or enrolled student of human/animal medicine or a life science
- students enrolled in medical school, veterinary medicine or a life sciences program
- High motivation and interest for science and laboratory work, ability to work in a team
- Efficient self-organization and documentation skills
- Excellent Englisch language skills (German advantageous)
- proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Experience in standard lab work (eg. cell culture, molecular biology)
- Experience in flow cytometry advantageous (not required)
