Our interdisciplinary research group investigates the interaction of the central nervous system with bone, with a particular interest in the role of the circadian clock. Individuals who experience central nervous system trauma, often face diminished bone quality, which increases fracture risk. Job Overview
- Investigation of the post-traumatic regulation of the circadian clock in bone and fracture
- Conduct experiments to investigate rhythmic gene expression in bone
- Use advanced imaging techniques to visualize the bone rhythm in vivo
- Perform gene expression analysis, histological analyses, and serum marker measurements
- Work with mouse models
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including experts in bone biology, circadian rhythms, and in vivo microscopy
- According to Section 110 BerlHG, the employee is provided with time for their own academic qualifications
Required:

A Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Neuroscience, or a related field

Strong background in molecular biology, gene expression analysis, or bone metabolism research

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and reliability

Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently

Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research and a keen interest in circadian biology and bone health
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with animal handling and in vivo experiments
- Experience with real-time microscopy
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data interpretation

Job Information
- Salary group E13 according to TVöD- VKA- K. The classification is based on qualification, the respective experience level is calculated from the years of professional experience. The annual salary (gross) is given for a full-time position without annual bonus, allowances and additional services
- The working time is part-time with 25 hours per week
- At our company 30 days of vacation are standard
