Working at the Charité

We are a young, dynamic team based on the picturesque campus Mitte, Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Our team works on cell signaling in the gut and interactions between intestinal epithelial cells and their environment. To study this crosstalk, we rely on different animal models, on organoids from mouse and human gut, patient samples, and also on bioinformatical analysis. Our growing team includes both research scientists and clinicians. As a technical assistant in our group, you will be actively involved in helping out team and weekly meetings, and will provide help with ordering, cataloging, and preparation of buffers. Job Overview

  • Full time, on-site work an exciting projects in a young, dynamic team
  • You will assist in preparation of samples, will make buffers and carry out routine lab work including genotyping, cutting of paraffin sections, ordering
  • You will also preform staining of sections 

Required:

  • You have a completed apprenticeship as a Biological-Technical Assistant or Medical-Technical Assistant
  • You are detail-oriented,conscientious, motivated, and positive-minded
  • You keep excellent records (lab book) of your work and are very well organized
  • You work well in a team
  • You can pipette, make calculations to prepare buffers, and are willing to learn new techniques

Job Information

  • Salary group E13 according to TVöD- VKA- K. The classification is based on qualification, the respective experience level is calculated from the years of professional experience. The annual salary (gross) is given for a full-time position without annual bonus, allowances and additional services. You can find the collective agreement here
  • The working time is full-time with 39 hours per week
    At our company 30 days of vacation are standard
