We are looking for an intrinsically, highly motivated PhD doctorate who wants to join our exciting journey to discover and translate molecular cardiovascular disease prevention mechanisms. Our group studies resilience mechanisms that keep individuals healthy while being exposed to a harmful environment and risk factors focusing on thrombotic and thromboinflammatory disease. Using an innovative a cross-species approach investigating hibernating brown bears, pigs and long-term immobile patients we defined long-term immobility induced thromboprotective mechanisms. The PhD project will explore novel cellular derived resilience mechanisms using our translational approach combining involving model organism and start of the art methodology. These findings will pave the way for innovative therapeutic approaches.
