Working at Charité

  • As part of the Einstein Centre for Youth Mental Health (ECYM), optically pumped magnetometers (OPMs) will be used in youths with emerging mental illnesses (psychoses, affective disorders, personality disorders) in order to identify disease mechanisms and biomarkers for early detection and diagnosis. 
  • The project is a collaboration between the Biomarker, Early Intervention and Digital Medicine Group, Charité (Prof. Peter Uhlhaas), the Multisensory Integration Group, Charité (Prof. Daniel Senkowski), the Machine Learning and Uncertainty Group, TU Berlin (Prof. Stefan Haufe) and the Dept. of Biosignals, Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstal  (Prof. Peter Krüger). 
  • For this project, we are looking for a motivated doctoral researcher with extensive experience in electrophysiology (EEG/MEG) and data-analysis to support the team. The earliest start-date is the 1st of April 2026. The position is funded for four years (salary level: Ä1 75%)  

Overview of the position

1) Execution of OPM-MEG/MRI measurements

2) Analysis of OPM-MEG data with state-of-the-art methods

3) Generation of manuscripts for publication 

4) Work in an interdiscplinary team

5) Supervision of pre-doctoral students 

What we are looking for

•    a bachelors/masters degree in a relevant field (psychology/        neuroscience, biology, physics)
•    experience in quantitative analyses of EEG/MEG-data  
•    strong computational and programming skills 
•    experience of working in an interdisciplinary environment

  • Die Arbeitszeit beträgt Teilzeit mit 75% d.h. 30 Wochenstunden
  • Die Position ist bis zum 28.02.2030 befristet im Rahmen der Projektmitarbeit
